UNYSE offers asbestos and lead project sampling and clearance inspection services to property developers, managers and owners as well as contractors and consultants. Our experienced staff is available to provide both management and support services as an independent party to the abatement process. Sampling activities are designed to meet the circumstances of each project within the context of applicable guidelines, regulations and specifications, and culminate in a project final report.

UNYSE Lab Division offers asbestos analysis under the New York State Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP #11108) facility and lead wipe analysis under the National Lead Laboratory Approval Program (NLLAP).

The Asbestos division performs both polarized light microscopy (PLM), for the presence of asbestos in building materials, and phase contrast microscopy (PCM), for the determination of fiber concentrations on air samples.

The Lead division offers wipe sample analysis for lead based paint inspections, risk assessments, clearance examinations and other sampling activities designed to determine a presence of lead as a dust hazard. The laboratory can also arrange for analysis of lead in other matrices, including air, paint chips, soil and water.

Special consideration is given to "round-the-clock" and emergency analysis. Sample pick-up and delivery, consultation and instantaneous on-line results are standard services.
